FAQ's

PAPER & PRINTING QUESTIONS:

Q:

Can I print using an inkjet or laser printer, or photocopy onto Cristina Re Designer Paper?

A:

Cristina Re’s A4 Reversible, Luxury Linen, and Eco Luxury Linen papers are laser and inkjet printer compatible, and suitable for photocopiers. When using inkjet printers, allow drying time for each sheet.

Cristina Re’s Designer Pattern, Designer Plain, Transparent Paper and Envelopes are laser printer and photocopier compatible, but not recommended for use with inkjet printers. When printing on Designer Card, set the paper type to “thick” or “card” in your printer settings. Please note that printing results may vary with different printers. Pretesting is recommended and results are not guaranteed. We recommend customers test one sheet on the machine they intend to use before purchasing a large amount of paper.

NB. Cristina Re Flocked Paper, Luxury Lustre and Embossed Card are not suitable for printing.

Q:

Can I buy the corrugated card featured in projects on the website and in the Creative Ideas Book from Cristina Re?

A:

To create the corrugated effect on Cristina Re card or paper, use a paper crimper, available at most Art and Craft stores.

Q:

I have purchased the Cristina Re Transparent Paper, how do I achieve the best printing results?

A:

Cristina Re Transparent paper is most effective when used to create stunning layered effects. When printing, it is suitable for most laser printers and photocopiers and pre-testing is recommended. Inkjet printing is not recommended. Printing results cannot be guaranteed, as all printers vary in technology and quality. We suggest using a laser printer or a photocopier for the best results.

Q:

Can I print on Cristina Re Place Cards using the Printstation 3 CD?

A:

Because of the limitations of most printers, the Printstation 3 CD does not include a template for printing directly onto Place Cards, as they are too small to go through most printers.

We suggest printing your guests’ names onto paper and attaching them to the Place Cards with double-sided tape. Printstation 3 includes a template for printing place cards in this manner.

Q:

Can I print on the Cristina Re Labels using Microsoft Word?

A:

Q:

Can I save my project as a PDF to take to a professional printer?

A:
Yes, you can “print” your project to a PDF file, which can then be taken to a printer. You will need to have third party PDF writing software installed on your computer, such as Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar.

If you have a PDF writer installed:
Before you begin, make sure you save your print project to your computer first, so you have a copy that can be edited if you need to make changes. Click on the Print tab in the Print Projects menu, and then click the “Start Printing” button. Select “Adobe PDF” (or anything that has “PDF” as part of the name) from the range of printers listed under “Printers”. Press the print button and you will now have the option to save the file as a PDF document.

If you do not have a PDF writer installed:
Before you begin, make sure you save your print project to your computer first, so you have a copy that can be edited if you need to make changes. If your computer is unable to print to PDF, you will need to download or purchase a PDF printing / writing program. Many free programs are available for download via the internet. Try searching for “free PDF writer” on Google. Download and install the software, then follow the steps for making a PDF above. Please note: initially you may need to restart your computer, or restart Printstation 3 in order for the PDF writer to function.

Q:

How do I backup my data so it is safe?

A:
You should back up your Wedding Planner database to disk regularly in case something happens to your computer and you lose your files. Follow these steps to back up:

1. Locate Wedding Planner database (marzi.mdb)
2. For a default install, the database is located in C:\Program Files\Marziplanner\Database
3. Use a USB key to copy the file or burn the file to a CD
4. Keep your backup file safe. In the event of needing to re-install Wedding Planner, this will allow you to continue working with all your wedding data, picking up where you left off
