We are pleased to announce that Cristina was invited to be the official Creative Director and Stylist for the ‘Grand Hyatt Bridal Showcase’ event on Sunday 14th April.
Titled ‘Inspired Beginnings’, the aim of the event was to showcase the splendour of the two magnificent ballrooms of the Grand Hyatt, and to promote the exclusive array of industry suppliers, from stationery, flowers, bridal gowns, linen, furniture and much more. Cristina was asked to collaborate with the sponsors to style and create a beautiful and inspiring setting for the Mayfair & Savoy Rooms.
The theme of ‘Mayfair Room’ was to create an extravagant Garden Tea Party. The inspiration was a fusion of the magic of Alice In Wonderland meets the french decadent style of Marie Antoinette. The key colours were pretty pastels echoed in the furnishings, stationery, table ware and flowers with highlights of gold and pearls in the finishing touches to create a feeling of luxury, glamour and femininity. The Cristina Re Tea ware from the ‘High Tea Collection’ was the star of the show, whereby each teapot, cup and stand was gloriously decorated with delicate pastel pink Roses and Dahlias designed by David at Antaeus Flowers. ‘La Piece De Resistance’ was the magnificent 4 Tier Marie Antoinette Cake also designed by Cristina herself, which was embellished with gold foil and pearl trimmings made by Ab Fab Cakes. Elegant Cameo invitations, menus and place cards designed by Papyrus Design, perfectly coordinated the cake to create a very stylish affair. Overall, the backdrop resembled an enchanted garden set inside an opulent Parisian palace, as the ultimate goal was to create a fairytale experience for the bride to transport her into another world of enchantment she will want to remember forever.

As a contrast, the theme of the Savoy Room was a fusion of east meets west, a combination of the orient, India and old world European charm. Whilst the colours in the Mayfair room were soft and gentle, the key colours here were bright, vivid hues brought out predominantly by the furnishings, table ware and flowers mixed with glamorous metallic highlights and bold black touches. The ultimate goal was to create a sensory experience and ambiance to appeal to a passionate, rich and yet sophisticated clientele.
Each table was adorned by gold and black “Chivari” Bamboo chairs from Dann Event Hire, crisp black and white linen by Function Accessories, candelabra, glowing lit candles, Cristina Re Tea Ware, and coordinating table stationery by Papyrus Design. A beautifully and intricately embellished “Bollywood style” 4 Tiered wedding cake stood proud and tall on the main bridal table, coordinating perfectly with a magnificent brightly coloured floral arrangement created by Antaeus Flowers. Exotic Peacock feathers, coloured doilies, satin ribbons and a sprinkling of glittering beads and jewels provided the finishing touches to the room, creating a highly festive, celebratory and memorable feeling.

At the end of the show, Cristina was interviewed by celebrity MC, Brodie Harper alongside her friend and fashion designer
Angelina Baccini to discuss her tips on bridal trends. Overall, Cristina was able to create the perfect magical setting to inspire a bride’s ultimate dream wedding with style!
