Cristina Re Designs Collection for Target

We are delighted to announce that Target has engaged Cristina Re to design an exclusive Bath & Body Collection.

Entitled ‘Peacock Garden’, the new collection includes an exclusive range of quality luxury hand and body products with a feminine touch, beautifully timed with Mother’s Day just around the corner.

The ‘Peacock Garden’ Collection is a reflection of Cristina Re’s style, with the range offering 3 fragrances in 3 pretty colour choices beautifully presented in hand illustrated patterns and delicate silver foiled packaging. The collection reflects current fashion trends and is the perfect gift for women who love and appreciate beautifully designed products that make a lasting impression.

Mum will fall in love with the stimulating and sensual fragrance of a Spring Garden with the assortment of soaps, candles, hand & body lotions, sold separately or in exquisite value pamper gift packs.

Whilst the collection makes a bold statement about fashionable, high quality design, the products contain no parabens, SLES or PEGS which are gentle for the skin. Furthermore, they are not tested on animals.

The collection includes fashionably wrapped and lovingly made 170g triple milled soaps that are highly lathering and moisturizing; stimulating 150ml fragrance diffusers and scented soywax candles in silver foiled frosted glassware that make a lasting keepsake (24hour burn time); invigorating body washes made with a delicate formula; pure luxurious moisturising 75ml hand lotions which leave a lasting fragrance on the skin and to complete the story, an A5 luxury lined journal complements the range and makes a perfect gift to inspire precious thoughts.

The Cristina Re Bath & Body Collection ‘Peacock Garden’ is available at Target stores nationally and available online here.

Surprisal

As I am so intricately involved in the wedding industry, a hopeless romantic and believe in making dreams come true, I had to say ‘yes’ when I was pleasantly asked to take part in a very special wedding proposal on FOX FM. I was secretly contacted by the Matt & Jo Show to help make the big “SURPRISAL’ happen, as I was informed that the lucky lady was none other than one of our lovely new staff members,  Ellesse Duncan. My involvement was instrumental to the successful execution of the plan, which entailed getting Ellesse to South Gate where she would be proposed to by her gorgeous and adoring boyfriend Daniel in front of hundreds of people.  I was asked by Matt and Jo to attend a meeting in Southgate whereby I had to pretend that she would be assisting me in designing and styling a very important wedding for a ‘secret celebrity bride’. What made the task even more challenging was that it was actually Ellesse’s very first day at work!

The team from FOX FM co-ordinated the location, the theatrics, and the romance to perfection – it was a moment to remember for a lifetime and was exceptionally well executed. I won’t deny it was tough playing undercover, however it was all worth it. We were very happy to be in a position to contribute to getting Mrs Right – our lovely and creative Ellesse to her surprise destination on her first day on the job!

We wish Ellesse and Dan great happiness and love, and welcome her to the Cristina Re team.

Bridal Style Extraordinaire

We are pleased to announce that Cristina was invited to be the official Creative Director and Stylist for the ‘Grand Hyatt Bridal Showcase’ event on Sunday 14th April.

Titled ‘Inspired Beginnings’, the aim of the event was to showcase the splendour of the two magnificent ballrooms of the Grand Hyatt, and to promote the exclusive array of industry suppliers, from stationery, flowers, bridal gowns, linen, furniture and much more. Cristina was asked to collaborate with the sponsors to style and create a beautiful and inspiring setting for the Mayfair & Savoy Rooms.

The theme of ‘Mayfair Room’ was to create an extravagant Garden Tea Party. The inspiration was a fusion of the magic of Alice In Wonderland meets the french decadent style of Marie Antoinette. The key colours were pretty pastels echoed in the furnishings, stationery, table ware and flowers with highlights of gold and pearls in the finishing touches to create a feeling of luxury, glamour and femininity. The Cristina Re Tea ware from the ‘High Tea Collection’ was the star of the show, whereby each teapot, cup and stand was gloriously decorated with delicate pastel pink Roses and Dahlias designed by David at Antaeus Flowers. ‘La Piece De Resistance’ was the magnificent 4 Tier Marie Antoinette Cake also designed by Cristina herself, which was embellished with gold foil and pearl trimmings made by Ab Fab Cakes. Elegant Cameo invitations, menus and place cards designed by Papyrus Design, perfectly coordinated the cake to create a very stylish affair. Overall, the backdrop resembled an enchanted garden set inside an opulent Parisian palace, as the ultimate goal was to create a fairytale experience for the bride to transport her into another world of enchantment she will want to remember forever.

As a contrast, the theme of the Savoy Room was a fusion of east meets west, a combination of the orient, India and old world European charm. Whilst the colours in the Mayfair room were soft and gentle, the key colours here were bright, vivid hues brought out predominantly by the furnishings, table ware and flowers mixed with glamorous metallic highlights and bold black touches. The ultimate goal was to create a sensory experience and ambiance to appeal to a passionate, rich and yet sophisticated clientele.

Each table was adorned by gold and black “Chivari” Bamboo chairs from Dann Event Hire, crisp black and white linen by Function Accessories, candelabra, glowing lit candles, Cristina Re Tea Ware, and coordinating table stationery by Papyrus Design. A beautifully and intricately embellished “Bollywood style” 4 Tiered wedding cake stood proud and tall on the main bridal table, coordinating perfectly with a magnificent brightly coloured floral arrangement created by Antaeus Flowers. Exotic Peacock feathers, coloured doilies, satin ribbons and a sprinkling of glittering beads and jewels provided the finishing touches to the room, creating a highly festive, celebratory and memorable feeling.

At the end of the show, Cristina was interviewed by celebrity MC, Brodie Harper alongside her friend and fashion designer Angelina Baccini to discuss her tips on bridal trends. Overall, Cristina was able to create the perfect magical setting to inspire a bride’s ultimate dream wedding with style!

Glittering Chandelier and Oriental Bird

The Art of Elegance Collection incorporates an array of inspiring paper designs to suit every taste and cater for every occasion. Pearl Peonies, Birds of Bel Air and English Lace papers were created to cater for a special occasion that requires a delicate and feminine touch when creating an invitation or special announcement.

For something more bold and striking, I am pleased to introduce a perfect worldly combination of two very glamorous designs called Glittering Chandelier and Oriental Bird in a timeless black and white theme.

The Glittering Chandelier design was inspired by the many tastefully decorated homes, reception venues, bars and hotels I have been to over the years that have come alive by the addition of a glorious glittering chandelier (or two) as a centre piece to the room.

I cannot help but always appreciate the grandeur charm and undisputed aristocratic beauty that a chandelier represents, and the way it catches and reflects the light. This beauty has been captured on a piece of paper with the unique treatment of sparkling glitter embellishment on a shimmering black pearl paper stock to illustrate the special effect I wanted to create.

The foiled silver peacock represented on our Oriental Bird design has to be my favorite subject matter to illustrate. No one can deny that this bird is a perfect symbol of beauty and vanity and will help you proudly express your special announcement or union of love with joy. This elegant paper design will captivate your audience when you create stunning works of art, either by using the full A4 sheet of paper in all it’s glory or by simply cutting strips of the design in unique and creative ways… the only limitation is your imagination! It’s easy to do it yourself!

Pretty English Lace and Charming Pearl Peonies

Pretty English Lace patterns in soft shades of pink and crème perfectly capture the old world European glamour of a time gone by. This lovely design is inspired by the most treasured and traditional element of a bride’s attire, the veil.  English Lace Pearl and English Lace Rose evoke the classic timelessness that is to be forever loved. Romantic, sensual and passionate, it further evokes a certain femininity and sexuality normally reserved for the bedroom. Let this alluring design make its way into your stationery boudoir and ignite your passionate union of love. The only difficulty is deciding which colour to choose!

As a perfect complement, Pearl Peonies is the ultimate expression of charm and grace. Capturing the beauty of bride’s floral bouquet in a stunning shimmering pearlescent  finish,  Pearl Peonies can be elegantly paired with classic white or silver to create yet another timeless invitation design. Embellish and adorn with Diamonte Buckles, Gros grain Ribbons and Bows, Luxury silk Tassels and Pearl Paper Fasteners in the Cristina Re range. It’s easy to do it yourself!

New ‘Art of Elegance’ Designer DIY Papers Launch

Born in Rome, my love for beautiful design began early when I indulged in collecting paper note sets, cards and stickers with pretty patterns. My fortuitous and encouraging parents embraced my creative abilities and sent me off to art school in Northern Italy at 13. It was here that the classical art and timeless romance of the culture influenced and formed my love for rich, decorative and ornamental patterns steeped in history and tradition.

To this day, I continue to travel around the world and am constantly inspired to capture the visual beauty that I see in different cultures. From the flora and fauna of Asia to the high fashions of Europe and New York, my passion to create new cultured and elegant patterns is endless.

I am delighted to share with you news of my latest collection of designer DIY papers ‘Art of Elegance’.

The new collection returns to a bygone era of timeless glamour and visual splendour with an array of ornamental and intricate hand illustrated designs in glittering finishes on luxurious textured paper stocks, that I am confident you will adore.

There are 8 beautiful new designs in the ‘Art of Elegance’ Collection and I would like to take the time to introduce you to every one of them over the next few days.

The ‘Birds of Bel Air’ will start us on this journey.  It’s unique Asian-charm is reminiscent of my stay in some of the most beautiful hotels in Shanghai.

This timeless design is close to my heart.

My hope is that you will create classically beautiful and timeless invitations and keep sakes and embellish with textured papers and sparkling accessories. ‘Birds of Bel Air’ will allure an old world bride.

The new collection is now available online and nationally at selected craft, paper stores and bridal boutiques.
