Introducing the Real Life Wedding of Damien & Danielle
This beautiful couple used Cristina Re papers to inspire their dream wedding, from the stylish wedding invitation to the little finishing touches that made their day unique and special .
We interviewed Danielle to find out more about her inspiration for her special day…
Q Describe the theme of your wedding and how your style influenced the design of your invitations?
A You can describe my wedding as a classically elegant yet casual affair. My wedding dress was made of a beautiful white vintage inspired chantilly lace fabric with a matching headpiece embroidered with lace trimming. This look inspired the colour and pattern of my invitation.
Q Which Cristina Re products did you use to produce your invitations?
A I used the Cristina Re Damask Satin patterned paper with a nude card and envelope, which I thought best reflected the style of my dress. For the trimmings, I used Grosgrain Ribbon, Buckles, Pearl Fasteners and the pretty Decorative Lace Tape. The invitation was presented in the Luxury Embossed Wallets which I thought made a lasting impression.

Q Describe how you met and the marriage proposal.
A Friends first, then discovered the magic of each other and started dating....that was 14 years ago.
Proposal was on an overnight train to the South Australian vineyards.
Q Describe your wedding day - your memories and highlights of the ceremony and reception.
A Wedding was an afternoon ceremony and reception at a Red Hill winery. Stunning surroundings, beautiful friends & family made this the best day of our lives. Weather was amazing apart from the typical Melbourne rain which took place only during the ceremony whilst we were all inside – and then, right on cue, the clouds disappeared and our afternoon in the vines was filled with sunshine, bocce and lovely food & wine. A truly magical day that suited both of us perfectly.
